Chuma attained a LLB from the University of KwaZulu Natal in 2008. After serving his articles, he practiced as an attorney in Pietermaritzburg until 2016. Given that his passion has always been Employment Law, in October 2016 Chuma was appointed as a senior legal advisor at the KZN branch of the Motor Industry Bargaining Council. There he was responsible for coordinating and managing the enforcement of the Industry’s Collective Agreement. Chuma joined Garlicke & Bousfield in 2017 as a Senior Associate in the Employment Law Department and was appointed as a Director in September 2018. He currently heads up the Employment Law Department.
