The Raptor is 18 holes by Tom Fazio with Crenshaw Bent-grass greens and one of the finest desert layouts in the valley. WE-KO-PA GOLF CLUB – CHOLLA COURSE
Located in Fountain Hills, on the east edge of Scottsdale, We-Ko-Pa (the Yavapai pronunciation for “Four Peaks Mountain”) presents a unique alternative to the already upscale Scottsdale golf market. Designed by noted golf course architect Scott Miller, the golf course was created to play a challenging 7,225 yards from the back tees, but with multiple tee boxes that are well spaced to cater to players of all calibers. WE-KO-PA GOLF CLUB – SAGUARO COURSE
The design objective of the brand new Saguaro course at We-ko-pa Golf Club is to complement the original Cholla course, and present players the ability to play 36 holes of phenomenal golf in a single location. The landscape of the new Saguaro course features fascinating movement that has allowed Crenshaw and Coore to design a course that is unique to the desert, and differ from the original Cholla course. The championship layout will challenge players of all skill levels with a beautifully fair test of golf, and will require them to play a variety of shots and find solutions to unusual challenges. Fashioned with walking in mind, Saguaro is a refreshing classic throwback to golf course design. Tees are located near the preceding green, and are often part of the same turf complex. Beware; the stunning scenery of Saguaro may cause unfocused players to slip into reverie.

LONGBOW GOLF CLUB
Redesigned by original architect Ken Kavanaugh, over 250,000 cubic yards of earth was moved to create the NEW Longbow Golf Club. There was not a hole that went untouched as new holes were created and the original signature holes were improved and enhanced. The total yardage was increased over 300 yards to play over 7000 yards from the back tees. Yet, over 13 acres of turf was added to the course to create wider more receptive fairways. Other improvements to Longbow Golf Club include a larger practice range, expanded chipping and practice areas, larger playing surfaces and a new Clubhouse with expansive Special Events Patio. Dramatic scenery with breathtaking mountain vistas together with a new, player friendly layout, provide a perfect experience for players of all abilities. Longbow Golf Club is conveniently located 20 minutes east of Scottsdale off the new Loop 202 freeway.

The Talon hosted the 1997 Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf and is a perfect example of desert golf. It has water on only three holes; however, the par-3 17th has an island green that you won’t soon forget.
